29 Deciembre, 2014

Christmas week I have to say in the mission is quite strange. However, I did have the opportunity to talk with my family on Christmas day which I highly enjoyed. There is not too much new stuff to talk about this week, but I would like to say that all is well in Jalalpa, Mexico.

As for what the missionaries did the day before Christmas...We all got together as a zone on the 24th, and kind of relaxed. We played some basketball (where I figured out I am extremely out of shape), had a white elephant gift exchange, ate some gorditas, and talked amongst ourselves. It was actually really fun because in my zone are 3 of my favorite Elders from my district in the MTC. We were able to catch up, and it was great to see them all. Lots of Elders say that after a while, you forget about your District from the MTC, but we were all really close which means that will not happen. After that, we were able to watch Frozen in Spanish which was good but definitely better in English. It is amazing how good a disney movie can be when it is the first movie you have seen in 4 and a half months. But it was really nice to relax for that day.

As far as our investigators are concerned, we should have the baptism of a man named Adrian Martinez this week, so please pray for him. We are also preparing a couple more people for baptism this week, so I am praying that they can continue to progress in the Gospel.

This week after talking to my family for the first time in 4 months, I realized how important my family was and is to me. The one thing that we should put the most effort into in this life is the family because that is the base of everything. I am extremely grateful for my family and what they have done for me. And through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we can live with our families forever.

I hope that everyone had a great Christmas, and I hope you have a Happy New Year!

Elder Andrews
