My companion, Elder Sanchez, left this area which was kind of sad because 3 months with someone makes you guys grow more together, but a change is always nice. My new companion, Elder Acosta, is from the Dominican Republic, and he has about 3 months in the mission. He has a lot of animo (it is like excitement or enthusiasm) which is really good. We are looking forward to a good transfer.
My scripture for this week is from Hebrews 11: 32-40. Read it before reading the following. So with this scripture we obviously need to have faith but after all the trials that the people went through, in verse 39 it says that they did not even get to see the fulfilling of the promise. As we go through this life we are going to have trials of faith and pass through things that are very difficult. We have many promises from God, and many times we ask why we are not seeing very many of them right now. We make ask ourselves why we have some many trials, why we do not have a lot of money, why are others so cruel, and why do people have so much more than we do. We have to keep in focus the eternal promise that we have though and not give heed to the temptations that attack us. If we can do that, we will all be perfected together one day.
I love you guys and hope everyone is doing well.
